    Hi Eric,

I created 3 slides, where one of them contains auto-play video. When I run the slide show from the beginning and use “Advance to the next slide” button provided by Powerpoint to navigate to my video slide, the video automatically plays. I can do it repeatedly using that button to navigate to beginning then to my video slide and the video always automatically plays.

Then I added my own “prev” and “next” images on each page and assigned the action to the images. So I have my own navigation. I ran the slide show and used my buttons to navigate to the video slide, only the first time the video automatically played; the second time I had to click on the video.

I believe “Advance to the next slide” button provided by Powerpoint does some magic to let the video clip to restart again. How can I let my own button do the same thing?

    Thanks in advance!!!

    Hi,

I don’t know the answer to your question.

The way to determine what you need to do is to first manually set up a presentation so that it behaves exactly as you wish, and then generate the same markup.

If you are not familiar with the technique of using the Open XML SDK Productivity Tool to compare files to identify necessary markup, I suggest watching this video:

How to Research Open XML Markup

This is what I would have to do in order to answer your question 🙂

It is pretty fun to use this technique, identify the changes you need to make, and then generate the presentation with those changes, and see it work.

    Cheers, Eric
